Wind River trains end-users on their software at their Alameda, California Training Center. For their new software roll-out, they asked us to produce two hour-long training proof-of-concept videos to stream on their internet website, along with support data.

These web-based trainings gave Wind River the ability to distribute product knowledge and recent developments directly to their endusers, and free up the Phone Support to respond to more complex questions.

Nitecat Media designed the video shoot specifically for website streaming. We cut expenses in the video production by converting a WRS training room into a shooting set, and shot both trainings in one day.

After editing and audio sweetening the two trainings, we compressed them to Quicktime files. Quicktime was the streaming choice of Wind River, because of its image quality, and the minimal stutter in the image.

After converting Powerpoint files to the web pages, we linked the video and on-screen data together, so the data pages change with the video instruction. The final Wind River Systems website Training is viewable on Windows and Macintosh Platforms.
